This lithic point blank is made out of Catlinite. It was sold by the Department of Interior shop in Washington to benfit Native Americans who owned the land in Minnesota where the stone is found. The mineral is named after the famous painter George Caitlin. The blank has a small hole drilled in the base, perhaps to make a pendant after the knapping is completed. Length = 101 mm ; Weight = 12 gm
