This natural elbow boomerang was made in the 1960s by an Australian Aborigine who worked for the Harold Blair Distribution Company. It is a beautiful piece of bicolored Mulga or a similar Gum tree species. The grain of the wood runs properly along the length of the blades. The blades have neutral airfoils, so this one was made for display, rather than for competition throwing. The upper surface was decorated with a kangaroo, Emu and other Aboriginal art. Overall, this boomerang is in very nice condition. There are very tiny marks on the end of the blades that are probably the result of test throwing by a previous owner. There are also a pair of tiny holes on the underside that may be from a removed staple which probably held a price tag or throwing instruction sheet. A very nice and inexpensive collectible.

Length = 52 cm ; Weight = 138 gm
