Aboriginal Hunting Boomerang from the Northern Territories

Item TB115

Pricing Information for this item can be found on the Aboriginal Hunting Boomerangs link. Instructions for ordering can be found on the How to Order web page.

This large hunting boomerang or or non-returning throwstick was collected in the Northern Territories in the 1960s. The wood is very light in color. The surfaces are smooth and the airfoiling is on the upper surface as you would find on a returning boomerang, but this is probably not a returner. There are four regions on the upper surface with hot poker decorations. This is a good Aboriginal artifact, not too old and is being sold at an attractive price. No damage. This would make a nice display item. Length = 65 cm ; Weight = 220 gm
