Boleadoras from Argentina with Ivory Balls and German Silver End Caps

This bola sold on eBay in 2008 for $299. The description says that this set is made up of three large Ivory balls with German Silver mounts and suspended with finely braided leather thongs. The center thong is slightly shorter than the outer two and the ball is slightly smaller. The smaller Ivory ball is 1 & 13/16" in diameter and the larger two are 2" in diameter. The larger ones being the same in size as a billiard cue ball. This set is fancy but not as ornate as some that may be decorated with precious metals and considered works of art, yet these are very well made and quite heavy. The Ivory balls have lovely color and criss-cross graining.
