Bola Made by Ben Pressley from North Carolina

This contemporary replica of a South American bola was made by Ben Pressley from Leland, North Carolina. Ben markets reproductions of primitive weaponry from various cultures. This set was purchased for $30 in 1998. This bola has three cords, each constructed out of braided soft leather strips which are tied together at one end. The other end of each cord is tied to a pouch made out of soft leather. Each pouch contains a number of small angular rocks. Span = 55 cm ; Weight = 278 gm ; Each pouch has a width of 5.5 cm
