Jack Burwell is the son of Ces Burwell, the brother of Bob Burwell and the father of Scott Burwell, all well known boomerang manufacturers and throwers since the 1940s. Jack was a wonderful artist and his boomerangs are terrific collectables. Find out more about the Burwell family on Bob's web site: Historical Photographs of the Burwell Family.

This medium sized traditional boomerang was made in the early 1970s out of plywood. It has a colored map of Australia on the elbow and Wattle flowers on both blades. The underside has the Burwell boomerang logo with the letter "J" added to identify this boomerang as being made by Jack, and not by Bob or Ces. It has a coating of varnish or polyurethane, top and bottom. The flight range is 30+ metres. This boomerang is in excellent condition. This boomerang is from the Rusty Harding estate. Bob said that Rusty would have acquired this boomerang directly from Jack when Rusty visited Australia in 1982. A very beautiful collectable in excellent condition.
