Item LR19
Steve Miller, a doctor from Seattle, Washington, was a
member of the USA Team that competed in the first
Australia/USA Challenge Match in 1981. Steve made very few
boomerangs and he never made boomerangs for sale to others.
Steve's boomerangs are exceedingly rare. They flew well and
he laminated thin veneers together to make his own plywood,
much in the same way as the Janetzki Brothers made their
boomerangs. Because of Steve's untimely death in 1985, only
a few of his boomerangs exist and these are in the throw
kits of his team mates from the early 1980s. This Steve Miller omega boomerang was made just before
the first USA/Australia Challenge Match in 1981. This
boomerang is made out of beautiful laminated veneers (home
made plywood). This boomerang is in very good to excellent
condition and probably has a range of 40-50 metres.
