This left handed sport boomerang is a popular model made by Michael Girvin out of Birch plywood in the 1990s when Michael lived in Berkely, California. This is not a copy made by Colorado Boomerangs. Nicely painted with Gel art and in excellent condition. Specifications: Left Handed ; Tip-to-tip Span = 35 cm ; Weight = 80 gm

Michael Girvin (aka Gel) has been making and throwing boomerangs since the 1970s. In the 1980s, Gel founded a subculture within the boomerang community called Team Gel. Most of the Gel sponsored tournaments were held in California and Washington state, but other Gel events were held all over the world. Michael promoted boomerang throwing more than perhaps any other thrower in America through his efforts. His tournaments were a lot more fun than the sterile USBA rated comps. Gel also competed internationally on many USA boomerang teams. Team Gel still thrives and events are held on the West Coast on a regular basis.
