Bob Burwell is one of Australia's best known throwers and competitors. Bob is the son of Ces Burwell, who was a well known boom maker and thrower in the 1940s - 1970s. Find out more about the Burwell family on Bob's web site: Historical Photographs of the Burwell Family.

This medium size hook was made out of Aircraft grade Birch plywood. Decorated on the upper surface with pyrographic art with serpent features. The lower surface has the words "Made by Bob Burwell Australia 1999", "Australian Champion 1976, 1977, 1978","U.S.B.A. Champion 1982". Needs a hard throw with lots of spin. Range is about 40 metres. New condition and an excellent collectable.
