Marathon Mini Weighted by Volker Behrens

This mini version of the Marathon is a fantastic Long Distance sports boomerang. Made out of 3 mm Paxolin material with a10mm lead weight inserted into the lift arm tip, this boomerang has a range of 80 - 100 metres. Requires both strength and skill. This model is shaped and carved as closely as possible to the original master carvings of Herb Smith, including the fading trailing edges that gives it distance and wind stability. One of the best of Volker's LD booms that I have tested!

Large Marathon by Volker Behrens

This large version of the Marathon is another great Long Distance boomerang. The design was originated by Herb Smith. Made out of 4 mm Paxolin material, this boomerang has a range of 80 - 100 metres. Requires both strength and skill. Add a coin with tape to the dingle arm tip to make it easier for novice LD throwers. Add a coin with tape to the lift arm for even greater range. A good trainer for the extreme range models at the bottom of this web page.

Blue*Star Tornado by Volker Behrens

This large version of Herb Smith's Tornado is another great Long Distance boomerang. Made out of 4 mm Paxolin material, this boomerang has a range of 80 - 100 metres. This Long Distance boomerang is made out of ultra-stiff G12 fibreglass material. It has a maximum range of 150+ metres with proper power, tuning and weighting. Composite Voyager by Georgi Dimantchev

This ultra-long distance boomerang is recommended for use by only the most experienced long distance competition throwers. It is made out of Russian Vniivlon (Aramid/Carbon Tape) + Glass-fabric + Metal core + Epoxy-Resin. Special construction techniques guarantee that the boomerang has the required toughness and stiffness of a Composite Voyager and allows for easy tuning of the boomerang with two hands on the throwing field. The flight distance is normally between 100 and 150 metres. For 200+metres, you need the perfect combination of tuning + weighting + coordination + a full throw-power.

These Extreme Range Hook boomerangs were made by Germany's Champion Long Distance Thrower. They should only be handled by throwers with previous long distance competition experience. These are made out of G11 fibreglass or GFK material (3.1 mm - 3.3 mm). The artwork is different on each one, but all are bright colors as shown. The flight ranges have been tested between 150 & 160 metres.
