The "Model C" kit contains a basic boomerang with a dark brown stain and a booklet in a carded sleeve. Not a great returner, but students or scouts will have fun painting these and the booklet is quite informative. The Jaru Air Max Boomerang

Price: $5 or 3/$12 ; Availability: 87 RH

This traditional boomerang is made out of a soft rubber material. It has a reinforcing stiff core to add rigidity, similar to what Aerobie does with their flying rings. The boomerang is flexible enough to tune. You will want to add some dihedral before throwing and it does work if you don't throw too hard and if you give it spin. Multiple colors. Order one and it is my choice of colors. Order 3 and get three different colors.

Early Traditional Boomerang by Allen Lilly

This traditional boomerang was made in 1977 by a competitor from the early Smithsonian tournaments. A basic traditional design and painted on both sides. It is a good, but not great flyer with a flight range of 18-20 metres. Excellent condition and a wonderful collectable from the Max Hoeben collection. Has a collection tag.

Magic Maple Leaf Boomerang by Peter Ruhf

This older traditional boomerang was made in 1977 by Peter Ruhf. Each blade has a shape similar to that of a Maple seed (samara). Peter added art on the upper surface that matches the illustrations that he did for Ben Ruhe's MHR book. This boomerang is signed and dated and in excellent condition.

The Winged Keel - Item P46

This large traditional boomerang was made in Australia in 1986 following the Aussie victory in the America's Cup. There is a small boomerang "keel" on the upper surface of the elbow in jest of the winged keel used by the winning Aussie yacht. The maker is unknown but there is an "Australian made" sticker on the reverse of the elbow. Originally from the Ben Ruhe collection.

Left Handed Traditional Boomerang by Rusty Harding

This older traditional boomerang was made in the early 1980s by Rusty Harding out of plywood using an unidentified hardwood (Coachwood?) with a beautiful grain. Narrow blades and with a shape similar to the Donnellan plastic traditional. Flies great with a circular flight, some hover and a range of 20-25 metres. Not signed and no varnish coating.
