Peggy Hale Huff
 

After graduation Peggy went to Fort Lauderdale, Florida where she attended Drake College for one year & then returned to Panama to attend Panama Canal College. Dennis & Peggy married in September 1970. They lived in Gatun & Coco Solo, where she was a stay-at-home mom to daughter Diana, born in 1971. In 1978, they moved to the Pacific side. Peggy worked part-time at BPOE Lodge 1414 as the office manager & attended classes at PCC, graduating with an associate degree in accounting.

Peggy joined the full-time work force in 1984 as a budget assistant for the Air Force at Howard. In 1988 she was selected for a 2-year Department of Defense (Army) internship & completed the budget analyst program. She was the budget officer for several engineering exercises conducted by National Guard & Army Reserve units in Central & South America, traveling throughout the region as a financial advisor to the unit budget staffs. She also worked in an administrative capacity in several USARSO staff offices. Peggy was active in humanitarian missions throughout Panama. She participated in the annual Christmas missions that provided remote mountain communities with school supplies, sports equipment, & white elephant items. Program volunteers flew in National Guard helicopters into areas where roads do not exist. For many years, she held the record for high women's scratch series, 695, at Curundu Lanes.

Born October 19, 1950 ~ Ancon, Canal Zone

During Peggy's high school days she has kept busy in and out of school. She has participated in Class Assemblies, Sports Days, a Thespian play, intramurals and the Powder Puff Football Game. Peg was captain of the "A" League basketball team and has also been on the "A" league volleyball team, dance committees, and the Tradewind and Caribbean staff. She is Vice President of G.A.A. She served as the commander of the Girls' Drill Team and a homeroom representative. She enjoys water skiing and sewing in her spare time. Peggy attended Girls State and now plans to attend college. She was also a member of the National Honor Society.
