This is an old [1956] sample license plate (#000)
from the Panama Canal Zone. It is in excellent condition
with only light flaking of black paint around the black
border as shown in the photo below. Sample plates are rare
and this is a very early sample plate. Length = 30 cm (12
inches) ; Width = 15 cm (6 inches) ; Weight = 94 gm
