This is an old 1946 license plate (# 371) from the Panama Canal Zone. This plate is in fairly good condition for its age. The paint looks to be original with very fine crazing from age. There are scratches and a few rust spots on the front. The rear has more rust, especially at the top with staining on the back, but it is in much better shape than most of the plates that you see for sale. In addition to the four mounting slots, there are four corner holes and two additional holes on the bottom about the bottom slots. I don't know if these are original holes or were added, but they are very well done and look like the other 4 holes. This plate would display nicely on the wall on on a vehicle. I don't recommend refinishing it, but some rust arrestor may be warranted in a damp storage area.

Length = 28 cm (11 inches) ; Width = 15 cm (6 inches) ; Weight = 182 gm (6.5 ounces)
