This item is a hardwood throwing club that was made in later part of the 19th century or early 20th century by Aborigines in the south east region of Australia. It has a bulbous head and is pointed on both ends. The point on the end of the bulbous head is blunt and this kind of crushing damage is common on these artifacts which are thrown. Otherwise, this piece is in very good condition. Length = 64 cm. Weight = 326 gm.
