Volker Behrens is a well known commercial manufacturer of sporting and competition boomerang products. Volker was also a competitor and member of the German International Boomerang Team and a pioneer in the development of long distance boomerangs with demonstrated throws of nearly 150 metres in the 1980s. Volker continues to make high performance boomerang products. This includes boomerangs made out of Aircraft Grade plywood, Paxolin, G12, Carbon Fibre, Lap Joint Hardwoods and Strip Laminated Hardwoods.

This boomerang is a large strip laminated weighted hook, similar in design to Al Gerhards' famous "White Lightning". This boomerang is laminated using thin veneers of light and dark colored hardwoods. Both blades have a single lead weight added to extend the boomerang's range. The boomerang is signed and dated 5/87 on the underside. This boomerang is in mint condition and will look sharp either hanging on the wall or flying in the air.
