Barnaby Ruhe is one of America's most beloved boomerang throwers and competitors. Barnaby is a graduate of the Naval Academy (Oliver North's classmate) and is naturally gifted in competition strategy. Barnaby was involved in the earliest days of American competition and he has a good pedigree with Uncle Ben Ruhe and cousins Peter and Larry Ruhf. Barnaby is still involved in competition today and he is on the International Team that competed in Japan in 2006, a full 25 years after his first international competition when he was on the American Team for the 1981 USA-Australia Challenge Match.

This boomerang was given to Brother Brian Thomas at the end of the 1981 USA/Australia Challenge Match. It was used as both an Inside Doubler and as a Fast Catch boomerang. Barnaby has signed and dated this boomerang 8*81 with a star and the words "Coyote" and "My Design". It is painted red on the lift arm, green on the elbow and is unpainted on the dingle arm. This is a real uncommon item as Barnaby rarely sold any of the boomerangs that he made and everything that he made worked real well.
