This is the 1994 Cougar's Pride yearbook from the Curundu Junior High School, located in Curundu in the old Panama Canal Zone. This school was part of the Department of Defense Dependent Schools (DoDDS) system before the American Canal Zone was turned over to the country of Panama at the end of 1999. This yearbook is hard cover and it has 120 pages. It is in new condition with no writing inside except for a name or museum collection number written on one of the blank pages. The cover, binding and pages are in new condition. The photo below shows a compression ding on the bottom of the front cover. This yearbook does hot have a compression ding. The photo is for a different yearbook from the same year. This yearbook is in better condition than shown in the photo. A very rare yearbook. The students from this school would have graduated from the Balboa High School classes of 1997 - 1999 if they remained in the DoDDS school system until graduation.

This yearbook was part of the Panama Canal Museum archives. When the museum closed down, I gave the museum a large donation in exchange for some of their yearbooks. I already have a copy of this yearbook in my personal collection, so I am selling this copy to recover some of the money from my donation.

Many of the yearbooks from the Panama Canal Zone have been digitized and are available as free downloadable JPGs on the University of Florida's archival website, but you cannot search the text on graphics and reading jpegs on iBooks is not easy on your eyes.. You can also purchase xerox copies of yearbooks from Classmates.com for about $80, but it is much better to purchase an original copy of this yearbook to keep in your own collection.
